Qualifications

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Bilingual Safety Coordinator to help lead and strengthen workplace safety across a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys being on the production floor, partnering with employees and leaders, and creating meaningful improvements that protect people and enhance operational performance.

Reporting to the HR Manager and partnering closely with Plant and Facilities leadership, you will serve as a key resource in driving safety compliance, employee engagement, incident prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

Compensation & Schedule

• Direct Hire Opportunity
• Fully Onsite in Gainesville, GA
• $25-$30/hour, based on experience, education, certifications, and qualifications
• Flexibility required to support production schedules, investigations, training, and safety initiatives

Safety Leadership & Culture

• Champion a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.
• Build strong partnerships with employees, supervisors, and leadership to promote accountability and safe work practices.
• Serve as a visible safety presence on the production floor through daily engagement and facility walkthroughs.
• Identify safety gaps and recommend practical solutions that improve compliance, awareness, and performance.
• Partner with Operations, HR, and leadership teams to enhance employee participation in safety programs.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, observations, and safety assessments.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and all required safety records and documentation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide recommendations to leadership regarding evolving safety requirements.

Training & Employee Development

• Coordinate and deliver safety training for new hires, employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness programs.
• Support the development of educational initiatives that increase engagement and reduce workplace risk.
• Lead investigations involving injuries, near misses, and safety incidents.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Track incident trends and provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.Maintain accurate reports, documentation, and follow-up activities.

Reporting & Program Administration

• Analyze safety metrics and performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate communications among employees, adjusters, and medical providers.
• Oversee safety-related programs, including:
  • Safety footwear
  • Safety eyewear
  • Uniform programs
  • Wellness and blood drive initiatives
• Support access control, security camera systems, and timekeeping programs in partnership with HR.

Employee Support

• Provide First Aid support when necessary.
• Coordinate employee transportation to medical facilities when needed.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and HR-sponsored events.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions and concerns related to workplace safety.
