Job summary

Coreslab Structures Omaha Inc is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee safety programs, training, and incident investigations at our Omaha construction sites. The role emphasizes a bilingual preference for Spanish and a strong safety-first approach.

The candidate will implement safety protocols, conduct inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance across all operations, coordinating with management and site teams for continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of safety experience in the General and/or Construction industry
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety processes and guidelines and Worker's Compensation regulations
• Completed OSHA General Industry 30 hr. training course
• CPR and First Aid certified (Trainer certification is a plus)
• Ability to identify known/potential exposures and recommend corrective actions
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
• Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety procedures and regulations to maintain a secure work environment
• Ensure the company complies with all environmental laws and regulations
• Develop, implement, and maintain programs to identify and correct unsafe work conditions
• Provide oversight of programs through personal on-site inspections
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for new hires, employees, and subcontractors onsite
• Identify specific training needs and develop tailored programs to address those needs
• Investigate incidents thoroughly, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans
• Coordinate safety training and educate employees on best practices
• Maintain all employee training documentation
• Organize a forum for active employee participation in all areas of safety
• Administer appropriate first aid to employees
• Contribute to the team effort by working closely with management and employees
• Maintain safety and first aid supplies, equipment, and software

PAY RANGE:Based on experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
