Bilingual Manufacturing Safety Specialist

Gainesville, GA | Direct Hire | $25.00–$33.00/hour | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Are you bilingual in English and Spanish, comfortable working on a manufacturing floor, and passionate about helping employees work safely?

We are recruiting a Bilingual Manufacturing Safety Specialist for an established manufacturing operation in Gainesville, GA.

This is a hands-on, highly visible plant-floor position. You will spend the majority of your day working directly with production employees, supervisors, maintenance, HR, and plant leadership.

This is not a desk-based compliance role and it is not a traditional management position.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, coaching employees, identifying hazards, helping solve problems, responding to incidents, and building a positive safety culture.

What You’ll Do

• Spend the majority of the day on the production floor interacting with employees.
• Conduct safety observations, inspections, audits, and walkthroughs.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and help implement corrective actions.
• Coach employees on safe work practices and proper PPE.
• Conduct safety orientation, toolbox talks, and ongoing training in both English and Spanish.
• Respond to workplace injuries, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, incident reports, inspection records, and training records.
• Support OSHA compliance and OSHA recordkeeping.
• Assist with Workers’ Compensation documentation and follow-up.
• Support programs involving LOTO, Hazard Communication/SDS, PPE, forklift safety, machine guarding, emergency procedures, and other manufacturing safety initiatives.
• Provide basic first aid for minor workplace injuries when needed.
• Partner closely with HR, Production, Operations, Maintenance, and Plant Leadership.
• Assist with employee-support responsibilities such as uniforms, safety shoes, access control, timecards, and other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or plant environment
• Meaningful experience with workplace safety, such as:
• Safety observations
• Employee coaching
• PPE enforcement
• Safety training
• Safety inspections
• Hazard identification
• Corrective actions
• Comfortable spending approximately 80% of the workday on the production floor
• Comfortable providing basic first aid when needed
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Dependable, responsive, and able to follow through on commitments
• Comfortable helping outside of traditional safety responsibilities when needed

You do not need to have every safety certification or years of formal EHS management experience.
