Job summary

Oriental Bank seeks an Associate, Retail Channels (Bilingual Teller) to provide friendly, efficient service to customers on-site in Bayamón, PR. You will handle teller transactions, resolve inquiries, and support cross-selling while maintaining security and compliance.

The role requires a degree in business administration or related field and at least one year of customer service or sales experience, with bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• 1 year of customer service, call center or sales experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and banking basics.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Requires good telephone etiquette, listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves customers professionally and courteously through teller transactions.
• Performs regular teller transactions using electronic/remote channels per policies.
• Answers questions, maintains customer relations, and directs complex inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Balances cash at end of day according to procedures and adheres to security/compliance requirements.
• Identifies cross-selling opportunities and refers customers to bank areas.
• Mentors/trains new Virtual Tellers when needed.
