Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a high-volume retail location in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on daily store execution and leadership when the Store Manager is unavailable.

This position is ideal for a retail supervisor ready to expand operational responsibilities, people management, and guest service in a mission-driven environment. Weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in retail or a related environment.
• Strong people leadership, customer service, and merchandising skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and coach retail employees and volunteers.
• Lead by example in customer and donor service.
• Help achieve sales, production, and expense control goals.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory flow, and floor presentation.
• Address customer concerns and promote Goodwill’s mission and values.
• Assume store leadership when the Store Manager is absent.
