This position provides initial resettlement services to ORR-eligible individuals through the Program of Initial Resettlement (PIR), a component of the Preferred Communities (PC) Program. The position supports clients during their initial resettlement period by addressing immediate needs, connecting individuals to services and community resources, and assisting clients in successfully transitioning and adapting to life in the United States. Services are time-limited and must be provided within established PIR contract timeframes to support client self-sufficiency and ensure compliance with program and agency requirements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required with three years of related experience; bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Must be bilingual in English and at least one of the following languages: Dari, Pashto, Farsi (Persian), Hindi, Nepali, Afrikaans, Swahili, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, Urdu, Arabic, Spanish, French, or Ukrainian.
