Cano Health LLC is looking for a Referral Coordinator to support the clinical unit with essential clerical tasks such as coordinating external services, scheduling consultations, and ensuring proper referrals are made. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, experience in a healthcare setting, and be bilingual in English and Spanish.
This position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
The Referral Coordinator supports the clinical unit with clerical activities. This individual will coordinate all external and some internal services and will be responsible for scheduling consultations, diagnostic testing, and surgical procedures. The coordinator will also coordinate all related services in a pleasant and professional manner for patients as directed.
High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in a physician’s office, clinic, or hospital processing referrals. Medical terminology knowledge. Experience scheduling healthcare appointments. Experience with office equipment, including computers, calculators, fax machines, and copiers.
This position works under usual office conditions, requiring prolonged use of a personal computer and the phone. The employee must be able to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally climb. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Some driving or traveling to assigned clinics may be required.
Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications, and usual office equipment.
