Job summary

Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit 16 CSIU-Migrant Education in Milton, PA seeks a part-time Recruitment Specialist to travel across multiple counties and enroll eligible migrant students. You will work from a home-base and support districts, agribusinesses, and community partners.

Responsibilities include conducting interviews, completing eligibility forms, collaborating with data staff, and producing regular reports to ensure service delivery, with occasional after-hours work as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Two years of recruiting/outreach experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English; additional language ability is a plus.
• Clear verbal and written communication required.
• Capability to build relationships with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Visit farms, agribusinesses, schools, and community agencies to enroll qualifying students.
• Refer students/families to service agencies and advocate for migrant families.
• Conduct family interviews and determine eligibility via questionnaires.
• Obtain school and employment verifications and related documents.
• Complete COE forms on tablet for eligible children and youth.
• Collaborate with Data Specialist for secure data submission and maintenance.
• Prepare weekly/monthly/annual recruitment activity reports.
• Share information across team and community partners to enable timely service.
• Translate/interpret across team and contexts as needed.
• Provide educational services including in-home lessons for out-of-school youth.
