Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a desk-based Reception & Clerical Associate to greet truck drivers, verify shipments, and keep logs. You will support ERP transactions, cycle counts, and inventory investigations, collaborating with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Security teams. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and the ability to work in a team while handling multiple tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years of clerical, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and general computer use.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform occasional physical tasks in warehouse areas.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in inbound and outbound tractor trailer drivers.
• Verify pickup numbers, bills of lading, and appointment documentation.
• Communicate dock assignments and relay critical instructions to drivers.
• Maintain accurate check-in/out logs and electronic tracking systems.
• Answer phones, route calls, and support general clerical tasks.
• Coordinate with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Security teams.
• Perform daily ERP transactions, including inventory adjustments and transfers.
• Assist with cycle counts and year-end inventories.
• Investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and ERP records.
• Support inbound/outbound POD processing and goods receipt.
• Help organize warehouse zones and follow FIFO storage procedures.
• Maintain GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols.
