Job summary

Socket.dev in Murrieta, CA is seeking a bilingual, detail-oriented Accounting & Supply Chain Assistant to support daily accounting operations, customer order processing, inventory management, and logistics coordination. This role works closely with the Administrator and serves as a key liaison between customers, vendors, suppliers, and freight carriers to ensure accurate accounting practices and efficient supply chain operations.

Hours will be 8:00am - 3:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, supply chain, logistics, or inventory control.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily bookkeeping and accounting functions.
• Set up and maintain customer and vendor accounts.
• Record customer payments and vendor invoices.
• Update and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Organize and improve bookkeeping and office accounting processes.
• Assist with year-end inventory procedures.
• Process customer quotes and sales orders.
• Send order acknowledgments and customer invoices.
• Prepare packing slips and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
• Coordinate shipments and verify delivery completion.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including Will-call orders, Collect shipments, and Drop shipments.
• Track raw materials and finished goods inventory levels.
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
• Assist with demand forecasting and production coordination.
• Research and evaluate suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate pricing for raw materials and freight services.
• Review tariff rates and freight charges to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate LTL freight partners and recommend efficient shipping routes with lead times.
• Serve as liaison between freight carriers and shipping operations to maintain on-time and complete deliveries.
