The Oregon Department of Human Services is hiring a Public Benefits Specialist - Entry to serve in the Northeast Portland office. You will greet visitors, assist with the Oregon Eligibility system, and provide in-person and telephonic service to Oregonians needing benefit support.

This entry-level role requires bilingual English and Spanish proficiency and emphasizes equity, trauma-informed service, and compassionate client interactions in a busy front desk environment.

Formación

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• Two years of front-line customer service experience or an associate degree with six months of service experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsabilidades

• Be the first point of contact in field offices and provide a welcoming environment.
• Assist Oregonians in person and by phone to resolve questions and concerns.
• Support the Oregon Eligibility online system for multiple programs.
• Handle data with care and maintain confidentiality.
• Support business functions within the office.
