Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Greenville, SC seeks a dedicated professional to uphold ORR policies, review grievances, and ensure safety for children in care. You will collaborate with ORR’s PCAN team, lead reporting on SA/SH/ISB, and coordinate with HR to meet background check requirements.

Bachelor's in behavioral sciences or social services, 1+ year in child welfare, and bilingual English/Spanish are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields.
• Must have at least one year of experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, or quality assurance or compliance.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 bodily liability coverage.
• 21 years of age and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work in a manner consistent with NYAP’s mission, values, and philosophies.
• Establish a respectful environment that cares for people, connects communities, and promotes peace.
• Provide child-friendly PSA Orientations and oversee implementation and compliance with ORR policies and IFR.
• Review grievances and elevate to program director for resolution.
• Lead and train staff on Prevention, Detection and Response to SA/SH/ISB and code of conduct violations.
• Ensure ORR and IFR compliance within program operations and audits.
