Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Program Specialist in Brockton to organize activities, connect participants with vital resources, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You will support scheduling, outreach, and event planning to empower seniors and others with behavioral health needs.

You will lead engagement at events and workshops, track feedback, manage donations, and help maintain accurate records for reporting. A driver’s license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working with seniors/special needs populations (Assoc. in Human Services preferred)
• Bilingual: Spanish/Portuguese/Cape Verdean Creole/Haitian Creole required
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; compassionate advocate with excellent communication
• Tech-savvy: MS Office, social media, Zoom
• Familiarity with Greater Brockton resources a plus; valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Program Support: Assist the Program Manager with scheduling, outreach, and activity coordination
• Direct Engagement: Lead and participate in events, workshops, and the monthly Brown Bag Program
• Resource Navigation: Help seniors access community services, food donations, and healthcare resources
• Data & Logistics: Track participant feedback, manage donations, and maintain records for reporting
• Community Collaboration: Represent BAMSI at local meetings and build partnerships
