Centro de la Familia in Utah is seeking a Preschool Teacher to spark young minds, nurture creativity, and support families within a Head Start aligned program.

Under the guidance of the Education Specialist, you will implement an early childhood curriculum, support dual-language learners, and collaborate with families while prioritizing inclusion, health, and safety in a dynamic classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience: Early childhood education, 2 years (preferred).
• Education: AAS or AA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required).
• Skills: CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's permit within six months; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe and excited to learn each day.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Head Start standards to support cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development.
• Incorporate play-based learning and hands-on activities to stimulate curiosity and build foundational academic skills.
• Support dual-language learners by integrating language-rich experiences that honor English and Spanish.
• Attend to daily care needs, including lifting, diapering, feeding, toileting, and promoting healthy hygiene with compassion.
• Observe and assess children’s progress, using notes, assessments, and screenings to tailor learning experiences.
• Collaborate with families through regular communication, conferences, and culturally respectful partnerships.
• Work effectively with children with special needs, ensuring inclusion and individualized support.
• Maintain accurate records for attendance, assessments, family engagement, health, and safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team collaboration to improve program quality and educator growth.
