Job summary

Centro de la Familia is hiring a Preschool Teacher to inspire young minds and foster a love of learning in a Head Start aligned program. The role involves creating an inclusive, safe, and stimulating classroom, planning developmentally appropriate activities, and engaging with families to support each child’s growth.

You will work with dual‑language learners in English and Spanish, manage daily care tasks, assess progress, and collaborate with specialists to deliver quality early childhood

Qualifications

• Experience: Early childhood education—2 years preferred.
• Education: AAS/AA in ECE or related field required.
• Skills: CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s permit required within 6 months; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that is safe and inclusive.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Head Start standards.
• Incorporate play-based learning that fosters curiosity and foundational skills.
• Support dual-language learners with English and Spanish language experiences.
• Attend to daily care needs and promote healthy hygiene habits.
• Observe and assess children’s progress; tailor learning experiences accordingly.
• Collaborate with families through regular communication and conferences.
• Include children with special needs and ensure inclusive participation.
• Maintain accurate records related to attendance, assessments, and safety protocols.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and teamwork for program quality.
