Job summary

Eden Capital Careers seeks a Spanish-speaking Phlebotomist for a contract role in Adelphi, MD. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 9 am–6 pm, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Experience with blood draws and specimen labeling is essential, with benefits available and Spanish fluency required. The successful candidate will perform phlebotomy duties, follow procedures, and support lab operations while adhering to OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain proper specimen temperature.
