Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture steps clearly to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required and package for transport.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer inquiries and ensure accurate test requisition matching.
