Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions in Adelphi, MD is seeking a Spanish-speaking Phlebotomist for a contract role (3 months with potential for permanent). The ideal candidate will perform blood draws, label specimens, and ensure accurate specimen handling in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will collect and transport specimens, explain the venipuncture process to patients, and maintain rigorous documentation while complying with OSHA/DEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to protocol.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct labeling.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and document results.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
