Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions seeks a Spanish-speaking phlebotomist to support hospital and clinic blood collection activities in the Chicago area. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and ensuring specimen integrity while adhering to OSHA regulations.

The role is a contract opportunity with potential for permanent employment, with a schedule covering 7 AM to 8 PM as needed, and mileage reimbursement. Training and on-going support are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process to patients and demonstrate technique using needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control and integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
