Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Spanish-speaking phlebotomist in Adelphi, MD for a 3‑month contract with strong potential to convert to permanent. You will support patient specimen collection and lab workflow in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires venipuncture experience, a valid phlebotomy cert, HS diploma or GED, and fluency in Spanish. On-site schedule is M-F, 9am-6pm, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must speak Spanish.
• Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• MS Office proficiency and basic computer skills.
• HS diploma or GED completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge samples per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and collection processes clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate proper technique using needles.
• Follow physicians' orders and match requisitions to tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Ensure accuracy of test requisitions and labels.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temps.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer phones and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
• Document maintenance data and assist with workflow improvements.
