Job summary

CSL Plasma in San Antonio, TX is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to collect plasma via pheresis and monitor donors throughout the procedure. You will venipuncture, assess vein performance and ensure donor comfort, safety, and compliance with SOPs.

Responsibilities include educating donors about the donation process, recording incidents with a PDA, and maintaining accurate donor data in the EDIMS. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to HSE and OSHA

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
External candidates: minimum 6 months' phlebotomy experience; 12 months in healthcare preferred.
Internal CSL employees: completed CSL Plasma DST training.

Responsibilities

Perform pheresis procedure and donor monitoring per SOPs.
Conduct donor venipuncture to start pheresis.
Monitor donor vein performance and expedite donation time.
Educate new donors on donation process and policies.
Maintain donor safety and respond to reactions.
Record incidents using PDA during pheresis.
Perform equipment calibrations and troubleshoot alarms.
Collect donor samples for testing.
Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
Ensure clean work environment and safety compliance.
