Job summary

Primary Health Care, Inc. (PHC) in Des Moines is seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker to provide English/Spanish interpretation and support the 340B program. You will assist with patient financial aid, enrollment, and claims reporting, while advocating access to PHC resources.

The role involves customer service at the pharmacy, interpreting for non-English speakers, and coordinating between pharmacists and staff. 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluency in spoken English and Spanish, with clear, accurate communication in both languages.
• Must obtain Pharmacy Support Person Registration with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy within 30 days.
• Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate English/Spanish interpretation for patients, families, and staff.
• Assist with 340B drug pricing program, enrollment, and manufacturer claims reporting.
• Track and submit 340B claims; resolve discrepancies and resubmissions as needed.
• Answer phones, greet patients, and perform checkout duties at the pharmacy window.
• Translate documents and educate patients; refer concerns to appropriate staff.
