Qualifications

• Basic internet search skills and entering URLs.
• Intermediate keyboarding (at least 25 WPM, touch typing).
• Clear written and spoken communication in English.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Use Walgreens prescription data access methods and enter new patient registrations into the appropriate system.
• Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
• Troubleshoot to obtain missing prescription data and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes).
• Resolve all data-access related exceptions.
• Respond to patient inquiries via calls, chats, and emails and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.
• Resolve third-party rejects by reviewing, gathering information, and resubmitting per plan requirements.
• Make calls to insurers to obtain information or obtain override approvals.
• Assist pharmacists in the facility and at other locations.
• Identify and communicate problems to senior staff as appropriate.
• Obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within 90 days and maintain it.
