Job summary

1stnb is seeking a customer-focused Bank Associate to provide exceptional service in a high-volume branch. You will handle cash, assist customers with deposits and withdrawals, and cross-sell bank products while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Bilingual Spanish/English abilities are important for serving a diverse customer base. The role requires at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or current enrollment, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, high school equivalency or currently attending high school.
• Able to communicate clearly in Spanish and English.
• Six months of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to pass background investigation.
• Able to get along with co-workers and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, handling cash receipts and payments in a high-volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships and accounts to offer bank products and services.
• Follow bank policies and supervisor directions.
• Achieve monthly new account production targets as assigned.
• In-store prospecting in a busy retail setting may be required.
• Process deposits and payments, record transactions, and balance daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements.
• Inspect cash to guard against counterfeit items.
• Enter transactions into the computer and issue receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Serve a diverse customer base, including Spanish-speaking customers.
• Perform other tasks as requested by supervisors.
