North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a bilingual English/Spanish Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide skilled services for pediatric patients under physician orders. The role may involve patient homes or daytime facilities, with supervision visits scheduled weekly per Texas guidelines.

Ideal candidates hold current Texas SLPA licensure and have at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience, with pediatrics exposure.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
