Job summary

North-Texas-Therapy-and-Home-Car seeks a bilingual SLPA to provide speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities in Texas. Must be licensed as an SLPA and have 6 months of full-time clinical experience, with pediatrics experience preferred.

The role involves coordinating with supervising SLP, collaborating with the care team, and pursuing ongoing professional development to enhance patient outcomes and service quality.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills
