North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas seeks a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide skilled speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities under physician orders. The role requires current Texas SLPA licensure, 6 months of full-time clinical experience, and pediatrics experience; home health exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
