QUICK USA in Torrance, CA is seeking a Payroll Senior Associate (Japanese / English bilingual) to join our multinational client service team. You will handle semi-monthly and monthly payrolls, assist with Form 1040 filings for expatriates, and perform gross-up calculations while ensuring compliance with U.S.

federal, state, and local withholding. This hybrid role offers collaboration with the Payroll Manager and cross‑functional teams, training junior staff, and ongoing CPA/EA certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of payroll processing and/or individual income tax experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. payroll tax regulations and Form 1040.
• CPA or EA preferred, or progress toward certification is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Excellent English communication; Japanese bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients using payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
• Prepare and assist in filing individual income tax returns (Form 1040) for expatriates and inbound assignees.
• Conduct gross-up and tax equalization calculations for international employees.
• Review and reconcile payroll reports and wage withholding for accuracy and compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local laws.
• Maintain employee and payroll data securely and accurately.
• Respond to payroll and tax-related inquiries from clients and government agencies.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding payroll processing schedules, changes, and compliance matters.
• Support the Payroll Manager and collaborate with internal teams on tax engagements and reporting.
• Stay up to date with payroll and tax regulation changes and best practices.
• Assist in training and reviewing junior staff’s work as needed.
