Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field.
• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification is preferred.
• Strong Japanese written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements.
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (accruals, depreciation, etc.).
• Maintain general ledger and process AR/AP.
• Prepare consolidation packages and coordinate with tax preparers.
• Perform audit and review procedures.
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business license, and 1099 filings.
• Support SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japan HQ.
• Assist internal and external audit engagements; supervise junior staff.
• Maintain accurate time and expense entries for billing purposes.
