Job summary

The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center is seeking a Clerk II to join our Clinical Operations team, providing timely and accurate clerical support in a busy health care setting. You will greet clients, schedule appointments, enter data, and assist with intake processes.

Under supervision, you will help with records, referrals, and maintaining a neat waiting area, while supporting quality improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives to ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient intake and clerical tasks preferred.
• Ability to explain income verification process to clients.

Responsibilities

• Greets clients upon entrance and departure from clinic.
• Directs clients with appointments to the correct clinical intake area.
• Provides new clients with explanation of the general intake process.
• Assists clients with making appointments and data entry in the computer system.
• Directs clients in making payments and handles inquiries or referrals.
