Job summary

The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center is seeking a Senior Clerk to join the Clinical Operations team. Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED, plus two years office experience.
• Assist in bilingual translation as appropriate.
• Experience in healthcare clerical work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients for providers and services.
• Enter and update patient demographics and PCP information.
• Verifies third party coverage and explains fees.
• Collects payments and balances cash receipts.
• Trains new clerical staff and assists program staff.
• Maintains medical records according to policies.
