Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Social Services or Hospital Admitting or related area.

Responsibilities

• Screen self-pay patients for eligibility in government and non-government programs.
• Identify all sources of potential payors and route accounts in the Patient Accounting environment.
• Obtain and complete the Confidential Financial Statement form and assist patients with applying for benefits.
• Conduct interviews with patients and/or family members.
• Maintain and document activities in the Patient Accounting cycle.
• Perform financial clearance including collections and determine eligibility for Financial Assistance.
• Follow up on government applications and liaise with case management and admissions staff.
• Conduct field visits to patient homes for skip tracing or assistance.
