Job summary

Firstsource Solutions USA, LLC is seeking a bilingual Eligibility Specialist to support hospital patients by reviewing census data and identifying those eligible for State, County, and Federal programs. You will screen referrals, initiate applications at bedside when possible, and guide patients through enrollment with partner agencies.

You will document findings on our in-house screening sheet and hospital system, coordinate with the Patient Advocate team, and may perform field visits to assist

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years’ experience in medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government) or other pertinent medical experience is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Review hospital census or referrals to identify self-pay patients for eligibility programs.
• Screen patients referred for State, County and Federal eligibility assistance.
• Initiate the enrollment process bedside when possible.
• Document patient information on the in-house screening sheet and in the hospital system.
• May perform outside field work including patient home visits to screen for eligibility.
