The position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, and proficiency in typing. You will interact with patients, staff, and insurers to ensure compliant and timely processing.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of experience in a hospital or customer service setting.
• Proficient typing and keyboarding skills.

Responsabilidades

• Schedules patient appointments and enters required information in the computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor.
• Explains all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtains signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining data, reviewing the Compliance System, and obtaining signatures.
• Protects the financial integrity of the facility by collecting patient liability and arranging payments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and ensures notifications and authorizations are completed on time.
