Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is expanding its Aventura Emergency Room, Cancer Center and Diagnostic Center team.

The role requires bilingual Spanish proficiency and entails patient registration, insurance verification, authorizations, and compliance documentation while guiding patients through consent and privacy policies. Schedule includes 12-hour and 16-hour shifts across days/nights with weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 1–3 years of hospital or physician office registration experience.
• Experience with registration, collections and insurance verifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects accurate and complete patient information and enters it into the system within time frames.
• Verifies insurance information including eligibility and benefits and obtains referrals/authorizations as needed.
• Ensures copies of insurance cards and IDs are obtained and scanned at time of service.
• Explains registration documents and privacy policies to patients; supports up-front collections.
• Ensures registration documents and orders accompany the patient to the appropriate area.
• Performs self-audits to ensure information accuracy by shift end; adheres to compliance standards.
