Job summary

Borinquen Medical Centers in Miami, FL is hiring a full-time Patient Service Representative to register patients, verify insurance benefits, and explain financial requirements. You will answer calls, schedule appointments, and guide new patients through the paperwork.

You will also oversee registration activities, train clerks, input demographic and billing data, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding confidentiality and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; medical records experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish or Creole).
• 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Medical Assistant certificate or diploma.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Register and oversee the registration of patients for treatment in the clinic.
• Assist with planning, coordination, and supervision of administrative activities.
• Provide information to visitors and patients; manage inquiries.
• Schedule patient appointments and admissions; orient patients to procedures.
• Input and verify demographic, insurance, and billing data in the system.
• Lead and train clerks engaged in patient registration.
• Coordinate clerical, data entry, and operating procedures.
