Primary Health Care, Inc (PHC) is seeking a Patient Access Representative I to greet patients, handle registrations, verify insurance, and schedule appointments at PHC clinics in Des Moines. This role supports front desk operations and revenue cycle processes with a strong customer service focus.

Requirements include Spanish/English bilingual skills, healthcare or customer service experience, and basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in healthcare, human services, or 2 years in customer service.
• Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Excellent customer service and commitment to service excellence.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy and good problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide prompt, friendly service to ensure needs are met.
• Schedule appointments and complete patient registrations accurately.
• Load insurance details and verify eligibility using Real Time Eligibility.
• Collect payments and manage the cash box per protocols.
• Maintain tidy reception area and patient logs, and support care team workflows.
