Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver outstanding service to retail and installer customers. The role supports store management, greets customers, assists with merchandise selection, handles cash transactions, and processes returns per policy.

Bilingual skills are encouraged, and familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging is valued. The position emphasizes delivering friendly service over the phone and in person, while adhering to company programs and safety

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
• ASE certification is preferred or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call).
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists for professional customers.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone.
• Maintain cash drawer and process cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves, and related tasks.
• Perform daily operational tasks (stock adjustments, inventory counts).
• Operate brake lathe and store test equipment after training.
• Provide in-store services (install wipers, test batteries, etc.).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle as needed.
