Job summary

Monterey County Office of Education seeks a Bilingual Paraeducator to assist teachers in special education and general classrooms in King City, CA. You will support instruction, prepare activities, and help with health and safety procedures for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of higher education (48 semester units) OR an Associate’s degree or higher.
• Prior experience with school-age children or students with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction under guidance of classroom teachers.
• Assist in planning and preparing educational activities and materials.
• Support paraprofessional and classroom routines, including behavior plans and data collection.
• Translate or interpret as needed and assist with student health and safety procedures.
• Supervise students during transportation, meals, field trips, and recess.
