Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English and Spanish.
• Assist the Special Education teacher in any and all areas necessary for learning, including one-on-one and small-group support.
• Understand and help implement IEP goals and strategies to meet learning objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction one-on-one or in small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with classroom tasks: sets up supplies, copies, assembles materials, and helps with projects.
• Monitor students to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Support in maintaining discipline and classroom management as directed by the teacher.
• Attend faculty meetings, trainings, and conferences as required.
