Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education or GED is required.
• Experience assisting with instruction for school-age students, including bilingual learners.
• Knowledge of Title I expectations and ability to assist reading, writing, and math.
• Ability to translate and interpret for families in English and a designated second language.

Responsibilities

• Assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction in English and Spanish.
• Help prepare instructional materials and implement lesson plans.
• Provide routine clerical support and maintain student records.
• Support individual or small groups of bilingual students during learning activities.
• Translate/interpret for parents, school staff, and students as needed.
