Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Store Associate for Store #701864 in Derby, CT. You will assist customers in person and by phone, recommend products, and ensure excellent service while helping to meet store sales goals.

You will handle transactions, maintain displays, and support stock, deliveries, and tinting as needed. This role requires English and Spanish communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs. Evening and weekend hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and pricing formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves and set up displays; keep store equipment clean.
• Assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks and deliveries when needed.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition of assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
