Job summary

Make the Road New York is seeking an Outreach & Program Support Specialist for the Queens-based 20-hour-per-week role. The position focuses on development, execution, and refinement of outreach strategies for MRNY Adult Literacy programs. Flexible travel to MRNY sites may be required.

You will craft content across channels, build community partnerships, and track enrollment trends. Evening/weekend availability and a commitment to community organizing are expected.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required
• 1–3 years in marketing/communications, social media and digital landscape
• Strong digital literacy with GSuite, Microsoft Office, Canva, Box, Zoom, and social platforms

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine outreach and recruitment strategies with Adult Literacy staff
• Create and distribute materials across email, social media, mailings, and partner orgs
• Conduct in-person outreach, events, and presentations to boost enrollment
• Build relationships with community orgs and public agencies to expand MRNY access
• Maintain records of outreach, partnerships, and recruitment in the program database
• Collaborate with instructors to collect and share content for marketing efforts
• Monitor outreach results and recommend improvements based on data
• Manage waitlists and recruitment pipelines; coordinate mass texting campaigns
