Job summary

Make the Road New York (MRNY) is seeking an Outreach & Program Support Specialist to design, coordinate, and implement outreach for Adult Education classes. The role is based in Queens and works 20 hours per week, with travel as needed.

You will create and manage a social media strategy, monitor effectiveness, and support program administration including student intake. Salesforce usage is required to enroll students and track activities.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• Fluent bilingual English/Spanish required.
• 1–3 years of marketing/communications, social media, and digital landscape knowledge.
• Strong digital literacy with GSuite, Microsoft Office, Canva, Box, Zoom, Google Voice, and social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine outreach and recruitment strategies with Adult Literacy staff.
• Create and distribute outreach materials across channels (email, social, direct mail, events).
• Conduct in-person outreach (street canvassing, community events, fairs) to boost enrollment.
• Build relationships with community orgs, public agencies, educational institutions, and local stakeholders.
• Maintain records of outreach activities and partnerships; manage the partnership contact database.
• Collaborate with instructors to collect photos, videos, and student stories for marketing content.
• Monitor and evaluate outreach effectiveness; propose improvements based on trends.
• Develop and execute social media strategy to promote MRNY’s Adult Literacy programs.
