Qualifications

• ABO certification preferred
• 1–2 years of retail optician experience required
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff

Responsibilities

• Dispense and fit spectacles and contact lenses based on prescriptions
• Provide patient education on lens materials, products, and frame designs
• Take measurements including lens power, pupillary distance, multifocal height, base curve and prism
• Assist in frame selection and inventory management
• Process charges and insurance payments and bill insurance when needed
• Maintain instruments and participate in continuing education
