Job summary

For Eyes, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks a Licensed Optician to deliver exceptional customer service and expertly craft eyewear within our community-focused stores in the Chicago area.

The role requires state licensure and optical dispensing experience, with a focus on precision measurements, lens and frame education, and driving customer satisfaction. On-site position offering growth and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• State Licensure is required for licensed opticians.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends is a plus.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with iPad/tablet use are important.
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators is needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver exceptional service.
• Custom fit glasses and place prescriptions in lenses.
• Provide optical expertise and guidance to customers.
• Take and record measurements; ensure eyewear meets standards.
• Attract new customers and assist with store promotions.
• Explain features/benefits of lenses and frames using tools.
• Maintain store appearance and protect company assets.
