Job summary

Diamond Environmental Services is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our San Marcos, CA location. The role leads daily transportation operations, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and high service standards while guiding a bilingual team.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in transportation and supervisory roles, strong knowledge of DOT/CHP regulations, and experience conducting driver-safety training. A CA driver’s license and clean record are required for in-person work.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
• 2+ years of transportation industry experience
• 2+ years of supervisory/management experience
• Strong knowledge of DOT and CHP regulations
• Experience conducting driver-safety training
• Skilled in customer service and complaint resolution

Responsibilities

• Support and implement policies focused on quality, cost reduction, safety, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and site performance.
• Conduct driver-safety training and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Plan and oversee work procedures using manuals and practical experience with DOT-regulated vehicles.
• Lead and coach employees with effective communication and professional development strategies.
• Guide drivers through physicals, drug/alcohol testing, and DMV knowledge/skills testing.
• Adhere to company rules and ensure punctual attendance.
• Uphold and protect the company’s brand and public image.
• Complete all assigned work and required documentation accurately.
• Minimize internal and external customer complaints.
• Meet or exceed safety, service, and productivity standards.
• Lead issue resolution efforts for faster improvements and better team dynamics.
• Ensure compliance with cost control, waste reduction, safety, and timely delivery goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
