Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC invites applications for a Bilingual Operations Manager to oversee the loan process from application to close, coordinating with internal teams and clients in both Spanish and English.

This role requires at least two years of mortgage or lending experience, strong knowledge of processing systems, and the ability to manage pipeline and ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English for communicating with clients and internal teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ mortgage or lending experience in underwriting, processing, or origination.
  • Operations management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory rules in mortgage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Encompass experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Verbal Verification of Employment on assigned loans within 10 days of closing.
  • Order third-party verifications (appraisals, condo certs, title docs, flood certs, etc.).
  • Review loan packages for signatures, dates, notary stamps, etc. before funding authority.
  • Collaborate with Loan Officer Assistant to obtain signatures and order documents.
  • Oversee pipeline management to ensure timely processing.
  • Verify data fields in origination/processing systems are accurate.
  • Assist in reconciling final ALTA statements.
  • Process file after lock and submit to Underwriting for conditions.
  • Direct LOs and assistants to order services.
  • Provide Branch Manager with regular pipeline updates and reporting.
  • Complete post-consummation disclosures and issue refunds.
  • Act as liaison between branch and underwriting operations.
  • Contribute to special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments.

Position Overview

The Bilingual Operations Manager will oversee the loan process from initial application to close of file. The Bilingual Operations Manager will partner with internal team members and external clients in qualifying and processing of loan files. A successful analysis is accomplished by completing a basic review of loan files submitted to operations, completing verification of employment, reviewing executed funding packages, assisting in the completion of closing documentation, assisting with various loan assignments, and assisting other managers, team leads, processors, underwriters, closers, and post-closers in special projects as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
  • Complete Verbal Verification of Employment on assigned loans within 10 days of closing.
  • Ordering third party verifications such as appraisals, condo certs, title documents, flood certs, etc.
  • Review obtained loan packages for signatures, dates, notary stamps, etc. prior to giving funding authority.
  • Partner with Loan Officer Assistant in retrieving, obtaining signatures and overnighting CEMA and CO-OP documents.
  • Oversee pipeline management to ensure files are accurately and efficiently processed within organizational deadlines.
  • Complete basic review of loan files to ensure necessary documentation and data fields in loan origination/processing system are complete and accurate.
  • Assist in reconciling final ALTA statements.
  • Process file once locked, submit to Underwriting for conditions and direct Loan Officer Assistants to properly order appropriate services for files.
  • Provide Branch Manager with regular updates and reporting on branch pipeline status.
  • Complete post consummation closing disclosures and issue refund checks.
  • Act as the liaison between the branch and corporate underwriting operations.
  • Work on special projects as necessary.
  • Work effectively and efficiently with operations managers, team leads, processors, underwriters, closers, and post-closers.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Fluency in the languages of Spanish and English in order to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, of whom may speak only English or Spanish.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ mortgage or lending experience in the capacity of an Underwriter, Processor or Originator.
  • Operations management experience, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory rules, laws, regulations, underwriting guidelines and statutes relevant to the mortgage industry.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ellie Mae Encompass experience, preferred.
