Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Bilingual Operations Manager in Rockville to oversee the loan process from application to close. You will partner with internal teams and clients to qualify and process loans, verify employment, review funding packages, and assist with closing documents and special projects.

The role requires 2+ years in mortgage or lending (Underwriter/Processor/Originator), Spanish and English fluency, and knowledge of regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English to communicate with diverse internal and external customers.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of mortgage or lending experience as Underwriter, Processor or Originator.
• Operations management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state and regulatory mortgage industry rules.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ellie Mae Encompass experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the loan process from initial application to close of file.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external clients on loan qualification and processing.
• Conduct Verifications of Employment and review funding packages and closing docs.
• Assist in loan assignments and special projects across teams (processors, underwriters, closers).
• Maintain pipeline management to ensure timely processing within deadlines.
• Provide regular updates and reporting on branch pipeline status to Branch Manager.
• Support with post-consummation closing disclosures and refund checks.
• Liaise between the branch and corporate underwriting operations.
• Collaborate on special projects and ensure efficient cross-functional workflows.

Position Overview

The Bilingual Operations Manager will oversee the loan process from initial application to close of file.

The Bilingual Operations Manager will partner with internal team members and external clients in qualifying and processing of loan files.

A successful analysis is accomplished by completing a basic review of loan files submitted to operations, completing verification of employment, reviewing executed funding packages, assisting in the completion of closing documentation, assisting with various loan assignments, and assisting other managers, team leads, processors, underwriters, closers, and post-closers in special projects as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete Verbal Verification of Employment on assigned loans within 10 days of closing.
• Ordering third party verifications such as appraisals, condo certs, title documents, flood certs, etc.
• Review obtained loan packages for signatures, dates, notary stamps, etc. prior to giving funding authority.
• Partner with Loan Officer Assistant in retrieving, obtaining signatures and overnighting CEMA and CO-OP documents.
• Oversee pipeline management to ensure files are accurately and efficiently processed within organizational deadlines.
• Complete basic review of loan files to ensure necessary documentation and data fields in loan origination/processing system are complete and accurate.
• Assist in reconciling final ALTA statements.
• Process file once locked, submit to Underwriting for conditions and direct Loan Officer Assistants to properly order appropriate services for files.
• Provide Branch Manager with regular updates and reporting on branch pipeline status.
• Complete post consummation closing disclosures and issue refund checks.
• Act as the liaison between the branch and corporate underwriting operations.
• Work on special projects as necessary.
• Work effectively and efficiently with operations managers, team leads, processors, underwriters, closers, and post-closers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Fluency in the languages of Spanish and English in order to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, of whom may speak only English or Spanish.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years’ mortgage or lending experience in the capacity of an Underwriter, Processor or Originator.
• Operations management experience, preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory rules, laws, regulations, underwriting guidelines and statutes relevant to the mortgage industry.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ellie Mae Encompass experience, preferred.
