Composite Steel in Melrose Park, IL, is seeking an Office & Finance Manager to lead business operations for our growing union steel fabrication company. This role requires strong construction-office accounting experience and oversight of billing, payroll, reporting, and compliance documentation.

You will manage daily financial processes, maintain accurate records, and help optimize administrative workflows with professionalism and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance, accounting, or office management within construction or steel fabrication.
• Strong invoicing, collections, bookkeeping, and data entry experience.
• Payroll processing experience and knowledge of compliance documentation.
• Familiarity with lien waivers, certified payroll, and union reporting.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail; professional client communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books and daily accounting records.
• Process accounts receivable and payable.
• Prepare invoices and track collections.
• Generate monthly financial and profitability reports.
• Process payroll and union-related payroll documentation.
• Manage lien waivers and job-related compliance paperwork.
• Serve as primary contact for clients on billing and admin matters.
• Oversee day-to-day office operations and improve internal processes.
